giving a 1900’s Fire Hall new life as a craft beer gastropub & burger bar.

Project Scope

Fire Hall Kitchen & Tap is a craft beer tap house residing inside a fully restored hundred-year-old fire hall. The Fire Hall crew came to us to establish a brand that honoured the building’s past, while showcasing their personality and passion for the things they loved; community centred around craft beer and great food. Together, we crafted a brand the local community could latch onto and participate in, while also showcasing the beauty, history, and legacy the building had lived through.

Brand Kit

60’s style hand-painted scripts and blocky “brick-inspired” lettering meet a modernly illustrated main badge to create a versatile system full of historical character.

Type & Colour

Using the building’s history as a foundation, we selected typography and colour that highlights the different decades the building has lived through thus far, while ensuring the brand still felt relevant in a modern market.

Badges & Seals

Secondary badges, illustrations, and emblems expand the brand language, keeping the audience interested while enabling the brand to shine at all shapes and sizes.

Exterior Signage

The exterior signage system is designed to compliment the character of the heritage building, while providing a memorable and eye-catching look.

Wood texture pairs with metal letters and metallic window etching, feeling right at home on the century old brick walls.

Bringing the Brand Inside

As with the outside, the interior is designed to highlight the amazing character of the building. Hand painted and distressed wall-murals, vintage style marquee signage, and branded wood details all create a rich and memorable experience at every touchpoint.
