Core Brand Marks and colour are inspired by 50s American automobile badges, industrial-style monograms, and classy 60s Broadway-era typography. The look creates a fusion of nostalgia and playfulness, perfect for encapsulating all the fun that can be found under Encore’s roof.
The brand comes to life across everything from custom menus and taplists, to pint glasses, tap handles, coasters and arcade tokens.
Illuminated signage, mid-century-inspired interior touches and tables made from the original bowling lanes bring the taproom to life.
Drawing inspiration from 60s era bowling alleys, the lanes feature huge illuminated letters, restored Brunswick lane panels, custom bowling animations, and a hand-painted “STRIKE!” mural to inspire every bowlers next frame.
The Encore Arcade features retro inspired signage and a collection of custom designed arcade cabinets, perfectly pairing the brand with the fun.
Our label system captures the Encore experience for grab-and-go beer and storefront shelves, creating an instantly recognizable silhouette in the densely populated craft beer scene.
Limited-run brews break the mould of the core lineup with varying layouts, illustrations and colour palettes, all while maintaining the recognizable framework developed for the main product line.
Every seasonal can release is announced with a “Canimation” - a playful marketing kit that brings the illustration and composition to life.
Our label for Thirst Trap Cherry Hibiscus Sour brought home a win at the 2024 Craft Beverage Marketing Awards - claiming the “Best Use of Colour” trophy in the Global Category. Now that’s tasty!
Dad Rock Lager was brewed and designed to celebrate the Kootenay region's biggest classic rock festival. Our label design is an homage to Garage Rockers and 80s Rock 'n' roll Daydreams.
Encore launched with a vision of becoming a hotspot for independent music acts to strut their stuff. To make the most of this, we created powerful and fun marketing assets to promote the shows and provide live concert photography to ensure the epic moments shine on long after the lights come down.
We worked with Reflect on the interior design, layout, branding, signage, and social media for Encore Brew & Bowl. From the first brainstorming session and naming to ongoing brand support and social media management, they've been with us every step of the way. Reflect became such an integral part of the process, they weren’t just collaborators—they were part of the crew. Zach & Dariynn joined us for first beer tastings, first bowls, and Thursday post-work pints—back when Encore was still a sawdust-covered construction site with propane heaters and an unfinished bartop.
I honestly can’t recommend Reflect highly enough. They’re more than a design studio—they’re true creative partners. We love working with them, and if we’re ever wild enough to take on another project, they’ll be our first call.
